What is UpWork and Escrow Payments?

You can request a custom link to initiate a contract with us through UpWork. It is a service that allows UpWork freelancers to use their services outside of their client network. You can deposit money directly to UpWork and the money is not paid out to us until we submit the completed work to you or you approve the payment. It includes Dispute mediation and allows for easy refunds in the case of us not being able to solve your problem.

Can I book local service for any location?

Currently we only service the Upstate NY area. Local service appointments for Locations in the Oneonta NY to Albany NY area can be booked via our Book an Appointment page, how ever any service for a location outside of our service area will be Remote Service. If you use the In-Person request form, you can request to make a special arrangement and prepay for the mileage to your location. If you do not mind paying for the travel, then we can service most clients in the Tri-State area.

Can I ship you my laptop without prepaying?

Yes, if you purchase a Mail-in Repair from our store, then the shipping is free and we will email you postage. How ever if you don’t mind shipping your device here yourself, then you can pay after we fix the problem. No prepayment needed, and only pay if we fix the problem. No fee for return shipping if we can’t fix it. Great for laptops that you have sitting around that could be sold or put to work. Eve desktops can be shipped UPS ground for very little. Pack with excessive foam, peanuts, or bubble wrap. Also repairing Iphone/Galaxy/ Galaxy Note/Laptop Screens and cracked glass.

Can I come down in-person and have something fixed?

We currently do not have a facility for you to wait in, how ever you can drop off devices in person and request same day repair. We are located near the Oneonta South Side Mall. There is fast food, restaurants, Walmart, and several home improvement stores within 20min of our location. An OS re-installation can take approximately 4 hours after all drivers are reinstalled and data is transferred back over.

Do you match quotes from other Tech Service Providers like GeekSquad?

We will match any GeekSquad, Easy Tech, HelloTech, UpWork, Fiverr, or private quote as long as the company is still in business and you provide a printed or digital quote document. Advertised service prices are acceptable, as well as online deals if the link is provided. If it is a private quote from a freelancer then the freelancers contact info is sufficient if they do not provide any documents. We reserve the right to contact the private service provider to verify the quote is real before matching an unusual quote. We also reserve the right to decline to match a private service provider if no quote documentation is provided.

How do I pay for a custom job, if I mail you a device, or if you send me a label?

We can email you a checkout link which will bring you to a Square secure checkout page where it will list the services you are being charged for and will allow you to enter your payment information and issue the payment. No need to share your credit or debit card number.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept Credit/Debit Card on our website and through our Appointment booking portal. We accept Credit/Debit via private checkout link. We accept Flashpay, CashApp, Bitcoin for any service but payment is initiated on your end using our Payment Address for each service respectively. Please email us to arrange payment via Flashpay, CashApp, or Bitcoin. All credit/debit card processing is handled by Square and all payment is secured through their secure servers witch merchants all over the United States trust.

Do you offer refunds?

We only get paid if we fix the problem. Even if you prepay for service, in the event we can not finish the repair or complete the job, your payment will be refunded in full. This stands for all appointment services remote and in-person, all mail-in/drop-off service, and any custom job. We offer UpWork Escrow protection as well which gives you the chance to review the completed work and ensure the job is completed before funds are released out of escrow to us. It also includes arbitration to handle any disputes you may have.

Can I cancel my appointment and get a refund?

Any appointment can be canceled right up to the time of the appointment for a full refund. We only ask for payment ahead of time to avoid erroneous appointments. Remote Service must be paid for prior to the service to avoid scammers and people who may take advantage. If you would like to set up a custom job and negotiate a down payment or some other form of contract that can be arranged as well. There is no delay in refunds and no money is collected until the appointment is concluded. Many other remote tech support companies have cancellation fees and cut-offs for canceling. We will never hold your money hostage. Its yours and if you need it after setting an appointment it is as simple as canceling your appointment. You can cancel via text or online from our appointment portal.
